La dame de fer

I wanted to get a close perspective with the wide angle, but wonder if the distortion takes away from the photo.

Think this is very cool in B&W.

    What I liked

Like the balance of light to dark. Symmetry in the in the lines is very appealing. Again, nice choice to present in B&W.

    Advice

Maybe just me but I like balance in images like this. Think it could be better with equal views of the base on both sides and balanced perspective. Not always possible but would have helped here. Still a very cool shot.

    Spectacular, beautiful detail

    What I liked

It's all about the detail for me, right across the tonal range. I like how smooth the sky is in contrast too.

    Advice

Sky might be a little too featureless, and that draws attention to the strong vignetting. It might be worth experimenting with composition/crop. I think this sits between "comfortable symmetrical" and "strikingly asymmetrical". I had a very quick play and I thought that with the top of the tower pointing straight at the corner of the frame it was interesting...

    Nice capture, ooh la la

    What I liked

I like the angle and the distortion, the problem with famous places is that they are photographed to death and its alway hard to come up with something different, I like the fact that you have tried. Also like it in Black and White and the lighting. The depth of field is great.

    Advice

I think there is a bit too much dead space in the top 1/4 of this image, the vignetting at the top does draw my eye to that area so it becomes more noticable. Although I love the fact this is taken at night I think maybe if it was during the day cloud cover may have filled this area. I dont think I need to tell you but if you moved further forward and had slightly less of an angle it may have extended the tower to fill that area. Thanks for sharing.

First when I saw this pic I thought of IKEA. It looks like one of their posters. I love the angle.

    What I liked

There's more than a million pictures of the Eiffel Tower but I liked this one because of the light and the angle. It looks cool all together.

    Advice

Don't really know anything to improve in this picture. It's just my kind of picture. Send it to IKEA! ;)
